LISA HORD


PRINCIPAL


Lisa Hord is one of two Principals at Hord Architects.  She has worked as Project Architect for firms in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic and brings experience in institutional architecture projects and master planning.  She is a licensed architect.  Virginia is her original state of licensure.

At Hofman, O’Brien, Levatich and Taube in Ithaca, New York, she worked on master plans for hospitals and schools, as well as student housing for Ithaca College.  While in Washington, D.C., she was Project Architect for Bowie Gridley Architects and also with Chatelain Architects.  She wrote master plans for St. Alban’s School for Boys, the National Cathedral School, both in Washington, D.C., and the Hill School in Middleburg, VA.  Other projects include the Junior League of Washington and several high-end private residences for high profile owners.

She is married to Carter Hord and they have two children.

Education:

       Auburn University – Bachelor of Architecture

Europe Study – Undergraduate study of architecture in England, Scotland, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy

Licensed to practice architecture in Virginia

NCARB – Fully certified by the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards
